How the LIMex works
Proven sacrificial anode technology from shipbuilding – now for your home.
Zinc & magnesium anodes
Special sacrificial anodes release ions into the water in a controlled manner – completely harmless and drinking water compliant.
Calcite becomes aragonite
The ions convert hard, sticky calcite into soft aragonite. One zinc ion converts approx. 16,000 calcium ions.
Limescale is washed away
Aragonite crystals no longer adhere to surfaces and are simply carried away with the water.

For extremely hard water quality (> 60 °fH) or for residential complexes and small apartment buildings (MFH), we recommend two L5s in series:
- Double residence time for extremely hard water (e.g. parts of Murcia, the Balearic Islands, Almerías or Castilla-La Manchas)
- Capacity doubled – up to 74,400 m³/°fH per year
- For residential complexes with several parties or high total consumption
- Recommended from approx. 10 parties or annual consumption > 1,500 m³
